Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/26/2013

***The Oklahoma National Stockyards will be closed Monday September 2, 2013for the Labor Day Holiday. There will be a one day sale on Tuesday September the 3rd. The sale will start at 8:00 am with feeders and calves and the cows will sell at the end of the sale.***


   


Estimated Receipts: 7500   Last Monday: 7592   Yr Ago Monday: 6168

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 1.00-3.00 lower. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 lower. Demand moderate for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves not well tested in early rounds but a higher undertone is noted. Quality plain to average. Hot temperatures and dry conditions are expected for the rest of the week.

Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1: Calves: 400-425 lbs 201.00-213.00, 400-475 lbs fancy 215.00-226.00; 500-525 lbs 183.50-188.50,fancy 194.00-196.50; 570-580 lbs 175.50-179.00; 600-700 lbs 152.50-163.50; 700-725 lbs 147.00-150.00. Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 159.50-168.50; 700-800 lbs 148.00-159.50; 800-875 lbs 146.00-154.00; 925-950 lbs 142.00-143.85. Medium and Large 1-2: 425-490 lbs 176.00-184.00; 500-600 lbs 160.00-175.00; 600-700 lbs 149.00-165.00; 700-800 lbs 146.00-155.75; 800-900 lbs 141.00-145.00; 900-935 lbs 131.00-140.25.

Feeder Heifers Medium and Large 1: Calves: pkg 360 lbs 189.00; 400-475 lbs 157.00-169.50; 500-600 lbs 154.00-162.00; 600-675 lbs 139.00-143.00.
