Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves under 500 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 lower, 500 weight calves steady to 5.00 higher, spots 5.00 to 8.00 higher on long time weaned calves, calves over 600 lbs and yearlings steady. Demand moderate to good, supply light. Receipts much lighter due to the inclement weather. The USDA Cattle Inventory report showed 87.7 million head. This is two percent less than last year and the smallest Cattle Inventory report since 1951. The feeder supply included 62 steers, 34 percent heifers, 04 percent bulls, with 50 percent over 600 lbs.

Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-475 lbs 198.00-221.00; 500-600 lbs 190.00-216.00; 600-700 lbs 173.00-192.00; 700-800 lbs 162.00-175.50; 820-880 lbs 158.00-162.00; lot 908 lbs 156.50.

Medium and Large 1-2 325-400 lbs 205.00-222.50; 400-500 lbs 192.00-212.00; 500-565 lbs 182.00-194.00; 600-700 lbs 170.00-187.00; 700-800 lbs 161.00-171.00; 820-850 lbs 155.50-158.00; 900-950 lbs 149.00-152.25.
