Compared to last week: All classes of feeder cattle and calves opening mostly steady. Demand moderate to good. A strong winter storm blew in over the weekend and is expected to be extremely cold for the remainder of the week. Strong winds and very low humidity's continue to dry out wheat pastures that are already in need of moisture. Quality mostly average. Receipts this week totaled 78 percent over 600 lbs and 35 percent heifers.
Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1: Calves: 380-400 lbs 222.00-231.00; 415-470 lbs 208.00-215.00; 540-600 lbs 190.00-203.00; 650-700 lbs 170.00-175.00; lot 765 lbs 160.00; Yearlings: 600-675 lbs 172.50-189.00; 700-800 lbs 162.00-170.25; 800-870 lbs 157.00-164.00; 900-1000 lbs 153.00-157.00; 1000-1010 lbs 145.00-150.00.
Medium and Large 1-2: lot 450 lbs 211.00; 500-600 lbs 184.50-200.00, thin fleshed 550 lbs 195.00; 600-700 lbs 167.00-176.00; 700-800 lbs 158.00-165.00; 800-875 lbs 150.00-160.00.
Feeder Bulls Medium and Large 1: 460-480 lbs 190.00-193.00; few 575 lbs 179.00; lot 700 lbs 147.00; few 850 lbs 136.50.
