Okla Crop Improvement Association and Ok Genetics, Inc. to Hold Joint Annual Meeting Feb 14-15 The Joint Annual Meetings of the Oklahoma Crop Improvement Association and Ok Genetics, Inc. is set for February 14 and 15, 2014 at the Embassy Suites on south Meridian on the west side of Oklahoma City.


Featured speakers will include Dr. Blaine Johnston, DuPont Pioneer talking about “DuPont Pioneer Wheat: Past, Present, and Future"; Dr. Kelly Chamberlin, USDA/ARS will speak on the development of the “Ole` Peanut"; OSU Sports Play by Play Announcer Dave Hunzicker kicks off the Friday afternoon session talking about "Top Producers" (Hunzicker has voiced the Ok Genetics spots the last couple of years- touting the advantages of OSU bred hard red winter wheat varieties) and Dr. Brett Carver, OSU Wheat Breeder who will offer a vision of the challenges now facing the wheat industry- his presentation called "If wheat could talk, it would say- STOP ragging on me."
