Governor Mary Fallin Announces Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Governor Mary Fallin has announced recent appointments to various agencies, boards and commissions. Among her latest appointments are:
Environmental Quality Board
Billy Sims, of Mountain View, is president of the Oklahoma Rural Water Association. He previously served on the board of directors at Caddo County Rural Water District Number Three. Sims is being reappointed to the board and will serve a five-year term pending confirmation from the Oklahoma Senate.
Shannon Ferrell, of Stillwater, is an associate professor of agricultural law at Oklahoma State University. He currently serves on the board for the American Agricultural Law Association, on the executive council of the Western Agricultural Economics Association and as a member of the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. Ferrell received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University. He is replacing Mike Cassidy, who resigned, pending confirmation from the Oklahoma Senate.
State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
Keith Fuchs, of Elk City, is a veterinarian at Western Animal Hospital. He previously served on the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association Executive Board of Directors. Fuchs received a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University. He is replacing Frank Denny and will serve a five-year term pending confirmation from the Oklahoma Senate.
