Last Call for the Oklahoma Irrigation Conference Being Held Tuesday

The Oklahoma Irrigation Conference will cover many topics that will assist producers who irrigate to become more efficient managers. Topics include using the Oklahoma Mesonet to schedule irrigation, using moisture sensors in fields, and using Smartphone Apps to control center pivots and water wells. Also, Kent Wilkins from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board will be the featured speaker and will discuss how the state's 50-Year Water Plan will impact producers who irrigate. Presentations on how to avoid mistakes when installing a center pivot, the benefits of using subsurface drip irrigation, water quality, and cotton irrigation management will also be made.
The conference will be held at the Caddo-Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb on Tuesday, August 19th, registration begins at 9:00 am and the conference begins at 9:30 am. Interested participants are asked to RSVP prior to August 14th. An online registration is located at
