Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 09/15/2014

Actual Receipts: 7821   Last Monday: 9886   Year Ago Monday: 6951

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to firm. Steer and heifer calves mostly steady to 5.00 higher. Very few true yearlings on offer with the majority of the supply consisting of un-weaned calves. As a result, the most advances have been recorded on larger packages of weaned cattle. Temperatures have warmed back up into the 80's, and are predicted to remain there throughout the week with chances of rain in the forecast for every evening. Supply included 61 percent over 600 lbs; 34 percent heifers.
