Compared to last week: Feeder steers weighing under 800 lbs mostly steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder steers weighing over 800 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 5.00 lower. Steers and heifer calves mostly steady to 5.00 higher on limited comparable sales from the previous week. Demand good on moderate to active trading activity. Quality is plain to attractive, with more crossbred cattle on offer this week. Near record high temperatures are forecasted today, with more typical fall weather returning through the end of the week. The warm weather has helped progress winter wheat planting to 84 percent complete, with 66 percent of the crop emerged according to USDA-NASS.
