Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 12/15/2014

   ***The Oklahoma National Stockyards will be closed for the Holidays December 22nd to January 5th 2014. The next sale will be January 5, 2014.***

Estimated Receipts: 6000     Last Monday: 6525     Year Ago Monday: 9948    

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Feeder heifers mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower on comparable sales. Steer calves 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Heifer calves 8.00 to 15.00 lower, with the exception of 500-550 lb heifers which traded steady. The market trended with the CME Feeder Cattle board which recorded large decreases last week, and continued the trend today with all Feeder Cattle Contracts falling the limit again this afternoon.


Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 300 lbs 397.00; 400-450 lbs 326.00-338.50, thin fleshed 369.00; 450-500 lbs 310.00-322.50; 500-550 lbs 270.00-305.00; 550-600 lbs 265.00-282.50; 600-650 lbs 245.00-253.00; 685 lbs 232.00; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 249.50-260.00; 650-700 lbs 230.00-243.00; 700-800 lbs 220.00-235.00; 800-850 lbs 211.00-225.00; 850-900 lbs 206.50-217.50; 900-1000 lbs 201.00-204.00, fleshy 198.00.
