Feeder Cattle Auction for 01/12/15

Compared to last Monday's sale, steer and heifer calves under 450 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 lower, steers 450 to 650 lbs steady to 5.00 higher, 650 to 850 lbs 3.00 to 6.00 lower, over 850 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower, heifers over 450 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 lower. Demand moderate to good, supply moderate to heavy. The Feeder Cattle Futures made some positive gains after last week's dismal close. The feeder supply included 63 percent steers, 34 percent heifers, 03 percent bulls, with 64 percent over 600 lbs.
