Feeder Cattle Auction for 04/20/15

Compared to last week, steer calves under 500 lbs steady, steers 500 to 800 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 lower, heifer calves and yearling heifers steady. Demand good, supply moderate. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle future contracts traded sharply lower the last two trading days adding negative pressure to the cattle trade. On the positive side, grazing conditions continue to improve with the rain and sunshine.   The feeder supply included 50 percent steers, 44 percent heifers, 06 percent bulls, with 46 percent over 600 lbs.
