Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 05/27/2015

Receipts: 5894    Last Week: 8265    Year Ago: 6326

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher with most advances on cattle over 800 lbs. No trend available for steer and heifer calves due to limited comparable sales but a slightly higher undertone was noted. Most all of Southern and Eastern Oklahoma are experiencing flood conditions, with more rain expected for the end of the week and thru the weekend. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Quality was average to attractive. Receipts this week totaled 93 percent over 600 lbs and 47 percent heifers.

   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: lot 300 lbs 400.00; few 465 lbs 303.00; 500-600 lbs 279.50-289.00; 625-700 lbs 237.00-246.00; Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 250.00-266.50; 700-775 lbs 221.00-234.50, fancy 238.50; 800-900 lbs 205.40-220.50; 900-975 lbs 193.75-206.50; load 1015 lbs 191.75; 1175 lbs 177.00.
   
Medium and Large 1-2: 500-575 lbs 255.00-277.00; 625-675 lbs 237.00-247.00, 695 lbs calves 228.00; 745-800 lbs 212.50-220.00; 800-900 lbs 195.50-209.00, thin fleshed 214.00; 915-950 lbs 191.00-202.00; lot 1075 lbs 186.50.
   
Medium and Large 2: few 330 lbs 330.00; 500-525 lbs 248.00-257.50; 615-640 lbs 242.00-248.00.
