Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 05/13/2015

Receipts: 7653    Last Week: 9449    Year Ago: 6869

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly steady 2.00 higher with exception of cattle over 900 lbs up to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. No trend established for Steer and heifer calves due to limited comparable sales however, a higher undertone was noted. Most of Oklahoma has been saturated over the past two weeks causing flood conditions around creeks, rivers and low laying areas. More rain is expected throughout the extended forecast. Demand was good to very good for all classes. Quality was average to attractive. Supply included 88 percent over 600 lbs; 36 percent heifers.
