Feeder Cattle Auction for 06/29/15

Receipts: 5395    Week Ago: 4171    Year Ago: 5866

Compared to last Monday's sale, steer and heifer calves steady. Yearling steers steady to 3.00 lower, yearling heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Demand good, supply moderate. Buyers were cautious in the early going but became more confident as the Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures traded higher. A large offering of true Yearlings for the Special Yearling Sale. The feeder supply included 63 percent steers, 35 percent heifers, 02 percent bulls, with 74 percent over 600 lbs.
