No sale last week, compared to two weeks ago, steer calves under 500 lbs 20.00 to 25.00 lower, steer calves over 500 lbs 15.00 to 20.00 lower, yearling steers 7.00 to 10.00 lower. Heifer calves under 550 lbs 10.00 to 20.00 lower, heifer calves over 550 lbs and yearlings heifers 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Demand moderate to light, supply moderate to heavy. Health a major concern with new crop calves this time of the year. The elevated stress of handling, weaning, new environment, and fluctuating temperatures can cause respiratory problems. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers, 33 percent heifers, 09 percent bulls, with 62 percent over 600 lbs.
