Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/09/2015


   


Receipts: 4867    Last Week: 4282    Year Ago: 5747

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 3.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers 5.00-7.00 higher in a limited test. No trend established for steer and heifer calves due to low number of comparable sales; however, a higher undertone was noted. Quality was plain to attractive. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. A cold front has moved in over the state, bringing some rain and making temperatures pleasant. Supply included 88 percent over 600 lbs and 27 percent heifers

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 425-450 lbs 272.50-289.00;450-500 lbs 247.50-258.00; 525-600 lbs 226.00-236.00; 600-650 lbs 204.50-218.00, fleshy 200.00; Yearlings: 650-700 lbs 213.00-221.50; 700-800 lbs 203.50-217.75; 800-900 lbs 193.00-201.00; 915-950 lbs 192.00-194.25; 1025-1050 lbs 173.50-185.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2: Calves: 340-350 lbs 282.50-287.50; 450-500 lbs 234.00-238.00; 525-575 lbs 212.00-222.00, thin fleshed 224.00; 650-675 lbs 206.00-207.00; Yearlings: 625-700 lbs 211.00-220.00; 700-800 lbs 193.50-205.00; 850-900 lbs 188.00-192.50; 900-975 lbs 180.00-187.50; 1015 lbs 170.00; lot 100 lbs 168.75.
   Medium and Large 2: lot 440 lbs 236.00; pkg 585 lbs 205.00; lot 675 lbs 195.00; lot 995 lbs 170.00.
