Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 10/12/2015

Estimated Receipts: 7,100   Last Monday: 6,850   Year Ago Monday: 7,411

   
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers mostly 8.00-12.00 higher.
Steer calves mostly 15.00-20.00 higher, heifer calves under 500 lbs trading
8.00-10.00 higher. Heifer calves over 500 lbs not well tested. Early
demand greatly improved from last week and very good for all classes.


Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 325-350 lbs 270.00-287.50;
375-400 lbs 248.00-270.00; 400-500 lbs 234.00-245.00; 500-600 lbs 205.50-
216.50, value added 220.00-227.00; 620-640 lbs 181.00-186.00; 650-675 lbs
178.50-187.00; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 200.00-203.50; 700-800 lbs 189.50-195.50;
800-850 lbs 182.00-189.50; 885-900 lbs 177.00-181.00; few 910-920 lbs 172.00-
180.00.
