Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 10/21/2015

Receipts: 7276    Last Week: 8150    Last Year: 5732

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 750 lbs mostly 1.00-3.00 higher over 750 4.00-6.00 higher. Feeder heifers 1.00-4.00 higher. Calves traded mostly steady. Quality was average to mostly attractive. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. A strong and large flood threat coming up from the Gulf of Mexico is expected to arrive in Central and Western Oklahoma bringing as much as 3-10 inches of rain throughout the weekend. Supply included 76 percent over 600 lbs and 30 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 350-400 lbs 272.00-306.00; 400-450 lbs 237.50-264.00; 450-500 lbs 220.00-250.00; 500-600 lbs 205.00-226.00; 600-700 lbs 177.00-197.00; 700-800 lbs 172.00-178.00, fancy 184.00; Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 195.50-209.00; 700-800 lbs 191.25-204.50, thin fleshed200.25-203.00; 800-900 lbs 184.50-196.25, 850-900 lbs thin fleshed 190.50-194.50; 900-950 lbs 170.00-182.25; few 1100 lbs 157.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2: Calves: 350-400 lbs 228.00-267.50; 400-500 lbs 202.50-225.00; 525-600 lbs 190.00-208.00; 625-700 lbs 175.00-185.00; Yearlings: 625-700 lbs 187.00-197.00, thin fleshed 200.00; 700-800 lbs 178.00-189.00, thin fleshed 185.75-191.50; 800-900 lbs 173.00-186.00; load 900 lbs 172.50.
   Medium and Large 2: 550-600 lbs 185.00-190.00.
