Kubota Launches New Lineup of Mid-Sized Tractors and Skid Steer Loaders

Kubota has launched a new lineup of tractors including higher horsepower models aimed at the row crop market. Kubota Sr. Product Manager Kent Brown said Kubota is replacing some of their older models, while adding a larger model that will compete with tractors that farmers have traditionally used out in the field. Kubota will also offer a new compact skid steer loader suitable for any farming or ranching operation.


Kubota has released their new M5 Series tractor to replace their M9960 and M8560. Brown said the M5 has a larger enhanced cab and it's large enough for an instructor's seat. It also features an economy PTO and other fuel saving features. Kubota's new M6 Series tractor will replace their MGX-tractors. Both the M5 and M6 Series tractors will feature Tier four engine technology. Brown said these engines will meet regulations for emission standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. Kubota has also released their new M7 Series tractor. Brown said this new 130 - 170 horsepower tractor will get Kubota into the row crop market.


Kubota has also introduced their new skid steer loader. Kubota has offered a compact skid steer track loader since 2010. Brown said Kubota has now released a skid steer loader as a wheeled unit. Kubota has released two models this year with the SSV-65 and SSV-75. Brown said they are proud of these 65 and 75 horsepower models that offer the largest cab in the market, along with an entry door that rolls up and out of the way. This allows operators to run the skid loader with the door open or closed. Optional features include an air-conditioned cab. Further, Brown this vertical lift machine allows the unit to lift more weight closer to the machine.


Look for Kubota to continue to release new higher horsepower tractors in the future. Brown said Kubota has committed to being a full line Ag manufacturer, so that means new, larger, more powerful tractors will be released from Kubota.
