Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 12/14/2015

***The Oklahoma National Stockyards will be closed for the Holidays December
21 thru January 1st. The next sale will be Monday January 4, 2016.**

   Actual Receipts: 7,980    Last Monday: 11,852   Year Ago Monday: 5,808

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 8.00-15.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves 10.00-15.00 lower, instance 20.00 lower. Demand moderate. Cattle futures again sharply lower and this is pulling the cash market lower. Cattle buyers looking for a spot to make money but that level continues to move lower. Quality mostly average. Feeder cattle in medium to fleshy conditions. Heavy rains fell over the weekend with the panhandle receiving snow. Supply consisted of 51 percent over 600 lbs and 41 percent heifers.
