Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 12/16/2015

Receipts: 3,108     Last Week: 11,707     Year Ago: 4,356

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 3.00-5.00 lower. Steer calves mostly steady. Heifer calves 2.00-5.00 lower. Demand moderate for feeder cattle. Demand very good for light weight calves. Several thin fleshed, long weaned calves available. Quality average, end attractive. Supply consisted of 61 percent over 600 lbs and 39 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1: Calves: 275-300 lbs thin fleshed 260.00-280.00; 300 lbs thin fleshed 264.00-272.50; 375-400 lbs 217.50-230.00; 400-430 lbs 206.00-216.00; 450-475 lbs 194.00-206.00; 500-535 lbs 193.00-201.00; 615 lbs 155.00; 725-755 lbs 135.00-143.00; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 155.00-164.00; 650-700 lbs 147.00-155.25; 745 lbs 151.50; 800-825 lbs 142.00-148.50, 800 lbs fleshy 138.00; 900 lbs 141.00; 1000-1045 lbs 129.00-135.00.
