Oklahoma Cattlemen Express Their Appreciation to Congress for Omnibus Passage
Fri, 18 Dec 2015 12:41:31
After the passage of the Omnibus Spending bill by the House and Senate on Friday morning, the Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, Michael Kelsey, offered the following statement praising Congress for approving the massive bill:
"OCA is very appreciative of both the House and the Senate passing the Omnibus and Tax Package bills this week. Both of these important legislation pieces contain items very beneficial to Oklahoma cattle producers. The Tax Bill alone is very helpful to cattle producers allowing them to make appropriate year end decisions that benefit their family cattle farms and ranches. The Omnibus Bill contains important language relative to Country of Origin Labeling, the Dietary Guidelines and more clear definitions for importing beef. Special thanks to Congress for passing these two important pieces of legislation!'
