Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 11/30/2015

Actual Receipts: 2,951   Last Monday: 4,652   Year Ago Monday: 5,173

   Compared to last week: No trend available for any class due to limited receipts, however a lower undertone was noted. Demand very good for all classes. Quality mostly plain to average. Supplies limited this week due to strong winter storm that swept across the state over the weekend bringing several inches of ice and rain. Supply included 47 percent over 600 lbs. and 47 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves 315-400 lbs 223.00-235.00;450-500 lbs 221.00-225.00; 515-565 lbs 192.50-208.00, fleshy 170.00-189.00; 625-635 lbs 174.00-175.00; 650-700 lbs 166.00-170.00; 725-730 lbs166.00-167.00; Yearlings: 600-610 lbs 181.50-188.00; 650-700 lbs 173.50-175.00; pkg 720 lbs 172.00; load 815 lbs 164.50.
   Medium and Large 1-2: 350-375 lbs 209.00-221.00; 425-500 lbs 209.00-221.00; 500-600 lbs 183.00-194.50; pkg 630-700 lbs calves 168.00; 650-670 lbs 171.00; 2 loads 975 lbs 159.00.
   Medium and Large 2: pkg 365 lbs 209.00; pkg 455 lbs 206.00; 545-600 lbs 173.00-181.00.
