Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 03/07/2016

Actual Receipts: 10,083   Last Monday: 9,573   Year Ago Monday: 10,149

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 3.00 lower, except 800-900 lb steers 2.00-4.00 lower. Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves firm on limited offerings. Demand continues good for thin fleshed light weight cattle. Quality mostly average, few attractive. Many cattle in fleshy and or full conditions. Cooler temperatures and storms are expected for the remainder of the week. Supply included 78 percent over 600 lbs and 38 percent heifers.
