Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 03/16/2016

   Receipts: 8,669     Last Week: 10,179     Year Ago: 11,369

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00-4.00 higher with most advance on cattle over 850 lbs. Steer and heifer calves were lightly tested but a higher undertone was noted especially for thin fleshed lighter weight calves. A heavy supply of cattle coming off of wheat weighing over 700 lbs on offer again today. Supply mostly attractive to average quality. Supply included 81 percent over 600 lbs; 47 percent heifers.
