Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/11/2016

Actual Receipts: 8,031     Last Monday: Holiday     Year Ago Monday: 6,546

   Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady for cattle under 950 lbs, over 950 mostly 2.00-4.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves not fully established. Despite sharply lower in the cattle futures demand remains very good for feeder cattle after a week of very limited sales. Supply included 84 percent over 600 lbs and 32 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 Calves: few 350-400 lbs 185.00-189.00; 425-500 lbs 158.50-170.00; 500-525 lbs 159.00-164.50; 550-600 lbs 149.50-157.50, thin fleshed 160.25, fleshy 140.00; 600-675 lbs 143.00-146.00; pkg 750 lbs 136.50; Yearlings:600-650 lbs 152.25-154.00; 650-700 lbs 137.00-148.50; 700-800 lbs 138.50-148.00; 800-900 lbs 130.00-141.50; 900-1000 lbs 126.50-133.00; 1000-1050 lbs 125.00-128.00; 1125-1150 lbs 121.50, fleshy 119.50.
