Ron Hays Moderates Beef Trade Panel at Summer Cattle Industry Meeting in Denver

The General Session of the Summer Business Meetings of the Cattle Industry organizations that met in Denver July 14th through the 16th featured a panel on Trade Issues- reviewing where the beef industry has been with international trade since the "Cow that Stole Christmas" in December of 2003.
The panel looked at the benefits to the beef industry from NAFTA, the expected benefits to come from TPP, the Trans Pacific Partnership and the possibilities of a trade deal with Europe and opening beef trade with China.
The Moderator of the Panel was Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays- and the three panelists included Thad Lively of the US Meat Export Federation, Bill Westman of the North American Meat Institute and Kent Bacus of the National Cattlemen's Beef Assoication.
