Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/8/2016

Compared to last week, steer calves and yearling steers 1.00 to 3.00 higher, heifer calves and yearling heifers 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Demand good, supply moderate. Higher fat cattle, higher livestock futures,and cheaper feed adds to the optimism for feeder cattle. Feeder supply included 54 percent Steers, 2 percent Holstein Steers, 40 percent Heifers, and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 62 percent.
