Noble Foundation to Host Seminar to Educate Producers on Effectively Managing Taxable Income
Tue, 15 Nov 2016 11:48:43 CST
Managing taxable income will be important for agricultural producers this year as lower farm incomes are expected.
To provide farmers and ranchers in the Southern Great Plains with the latest information in preparation for tax season, The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host a free seminar, "Managing Taxes for Agricultural Producers."
The seminar will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, located at 2610 Sam Noble Parkway in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
During the event, Noble Foundation agricultural economists and Doug Dean, CPA, will provide information, tips and advice on importance of tax planning and treatment during low returns, reduced general farm receipts, tax changes and end-of-year planning strategies.
"Time spent learning about the various aspects of your tax bill is always time well spent," said Dan Childs, agricultural economist. "This workshop will help provide producers with the knowledge to help them successfully navigate some of the finer details of the tax process."
This event is offered at no charge, but preregistration is required. To register, click here or contact Danielle Pacifico at 580-224-6376.
