Fri, 17 Feb 2012 02:50:17 CST
Here's the legendary Edinburgh Castle- from our breakfast table- as we begin Day Two with Class XV of the Oklahoma Ag Leadership Program. This ancient fortress, perched on an extinct volcano, is a national symbol of Scotland and part of the Edinburgh UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sessions today for the young agricultural leaders include presentations by officials from the Scottish Enterprise Council and the Roslin Institute. The group will then have lunch at the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, with presentations after lunch planned from the Royal Highland Society, the National Farmers Union of Scotland and the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs.
Later in the afternoon, the group will have a chance to see a European style supermarket as we tour Sainsbury Supermarket, one of the two major supermarket retailers in the UK.
