James Lankford and Ron Hays Talk JUSTICE, CARES and HEROES

Thu, 25 Jun 2020 07:25:15 CDT

Our latest Ag Perspectives Podcast features a Thursday morning conversation with Oklahoma Senator James Lankford. Legislation these days has to have a catchy name- so we discuss JUSTICE, CARES and HEROES with the Senator.

As an addendum to our visit about JUSTICE- we talk about race relations and Senator Lankford has some excellent advice- invite a family of a different race than your family to dinner- and build a relationship. He also offers some Biblical insights on what God expects of us when it comes to relationships with others.

On the CARES act- he expressed frustration about the April 15th cutoff date for higher levels of compensation for cattle that were sold during the time of pandemic- and that he is hopeful that USDA will address that in the days to come.
