Michael Kelsey and Ron Hays Talk State and Federal Policy From a Cattle Viewpoint on the Latest Ag Perspectives Podcast

The latest edition of the Ag Perspectives Podcast features the Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, Michael Kelsey. Kelsey and Senior Farm/Ranch Broadcaster Ron Hays talk policy and politics- as they start with a look at the policy discussed at the 2022 Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association annual convention in Norman. The policy conversations were centered around the politics in the state- espcially looking at the two Congressional Forums that OCA hosted at the meeting featuring the GOP runoff contenders for the Second District USCongressional Seat and the Two Years Remaining in the Jim Inhofe Senate Seat.

Kelsey also talked marijuana issues with Hays at the state level.

On the Federal level- Kelsey says that Oklahoma cattle producers and other cattlemen who were at the NCBA Summer Business Conference in Reno spent a lot of time talking about what they wanted to see in the 2023 Farm Bill from a cattle industry point of view.
