USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack Keynotes 2013 Commodity Classic in Florida

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack told farmers at the 2013 Commodity Classic that he was glad to get out of Washington, DC on the deadline day of sequester- he talked about the problems of trying to meet the letter of the law regarding sequestration- and he also talked about the relevance of American agriculture, how drought has impacted farmers and ranchers this past year, the value of crop insurance to farmers in 2012 and a host of other topics in a wide ranging speech.
