Sirloin Club Annual Banquet and Chalice Auction
Wednesday, February 7, 2018
The Sirloin Club of Oklahoma is an over half-century old nonprofit group that works to support Oklahoma youth involved it agriculture-related leadership activities through the time and resources of its members. To this end, the organization sponsors 4-H and FFA scholarships and the National Land and Range Judging Contest held here every year. The organization also spends a significant amount of money each year to purchase premiums on animals at the Oklahoma Youth Expo. During the last few years the SCO has contributed an average of almost $100,000 toward this cause where the total premiums were over $1M per year.
The two largest sources of the SCO's funds are its membership dues and the Annual Banquet and Chalice Auction which is being held on February 7, 2018 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Cocktail/social hour begins at 5:30 with dinner and program to follow beginning at 6:30 p.m. That event features recognition of the President's Award and Show Honoree winners, a silent auction, and a live-auction of the chalices given to the top three animals in each species at the OYE as well as other top-notch items and packages.
