Fri, 16 Apr 2010 7:10:25 CDT
OSU Grain Marketing Economist Dr. Kim Anderson says that the wheat market is stuck in a trading range for right now, right at that five dollar level, basis the July Kansas City wheat contact. He told Clinton Griffiths of OSU's weekly TV show, SUNUP, that it is wallering around that level- and he admists he unsure about which direction it will go, up or down, when it finally breaks out.
He says it's good to see the crop in much better condition this spring than one year ago. We have Kim's comments below- just click on the Listen Bar and you can hear him before you will see him on SUNUP on Saturday on OETA.
Besides the Kim Anderson wheat market segment, Clinton Griffiths tells us they have a good show lined up- which will include:
SUNUP talks with entomologist Tom Royer about the proper way to check wheat, canola and alfalfa fields for pests.
Glenn Selk and veterinarian Dr. John Kirkpatrick discuss recent research on vaccination protocols for respiratory vaccines.
AGWEATHER looks at subsoil moisture and the long-term forecast for temperatures and precipitation.
In Shop Stop the crew shows viewers how to remove metal seals in hard to reach places.
Ag economist Eric Devuyst breaks down the budget numbers for marketing spring-born calves.
