Oklahoma Cotton Council Presents $60,000 Research Grant to Oklahoma State University

A three-year cotton research grant totaling $60,000 has been presented to Oklahoma State University by the Oklahoma Cotton Council, according to Harvey Schroeder, OCC executive director.Divided into three parcels of $20,000 each year for three years, funds from the grant will be used by Dr. Randy Boman, OSU cotton research program director.
Research activities will be centered at the OSU Southwest Research and Extension Center south of Altus. Dr. Boman is also the center director. Oklahoma's Cotton Council serves the state's cotton industry by working closely with cotton producers, ginners and warehousemen. It can be found at okiecotton.org- which is linked below.
The Council also works closely with the NTOK Cotton project which consists of members of the cotton industry who support and encourage increased cotton production in the Rolling Plains of North Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
