White Dog Hill in Clinton Offers More Than Delicious Food
Thu, 27 Oct 2011 15:46:59 CDT
Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma continues this week with White Dog Hill in Clinton, Okla., on Friday, Oct. 28. White Dog Hill, which has only been open since 2007, is known for their great menu, unique location and a relaxing ambiance that will leave any customer not only with a completely satisfied appetite but also with a feeling of contentment.
Located on the historic Route 66, the restaurant building has been around since 1926, when it was constructed to be a clubhouse for the Clinton Country Club. Since then, it has been a golf course, personal homes, and then even abandoned before Nelson King, owner of White Dog Hill, decided it needed to be restored because of the historic value.
White Dog Hill has a variety of dishes on their menu for their customers to enjoy. One that many customers choose is their cheese board, which is served with up to five different cheeses, bread and a selection of fruit. On their main menu, there is a selection of steaks, grilled smoked pork chops, grilled shrimp, or Cornish game hen- which is stuffed with a cranberry and wild rice dressing.
King says their menu may be lacking in a few areas but it is only because they want to provide quality food that they know how to cook. Fairly new to the restaurant business, King wants to ensure a delicious meal for every customer that walks through the door.
White Dog Hill is also known for their incredible view of the Oklahoma countryside. King says many customers will come simply to enjoy a quiet, Oklahoma sunset and enjoy the location of this destination restaurant.
As part of the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma deal, at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, customers will be able to purchase two $25 vouchers to White Dog Hill for $25. But, there are only 100 vouchers available for purchase. The Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma selected White Dog Hill because of their history and reputation as a fine dining establishment.
