AFR/OFU President Congratulates Lucas on Farm Bill Passage

American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR/OFU) President Terry Detrick made the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2642, the Agricultural Act of 2014, by a vote of 251-166 this morning:
"On behalf of American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union, I congratulate Chairman Frank Lucas on the long-sought passage of a five-year farm bill. We appreciate his hard work and his dedication to providing certainty for agriculture producers, financial institutions and consumers. "I look forward to a swift passage in the Senate and a presidential signature. We are ready to assist our members in implementing the new programs and policies with our friends from the USDA."
