Oklahoma National Stockyards - Close Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/23/2014
   


Actual Receipts: 6524   Last Monday: 7428   Year Ago Monday: 10,088

Compared to last week: Feeder steers mostly steady to 2.00 higher, instances of 6.00 higher on 600-700 lb steers. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 higher, instances of 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves mostly 4.00 to 5.00 lower, as quality was not as attractive as last week. Early morning rain showers brought some much needed moisture to the Western areas of the state, and up to 3 inches of rain was reported in Oklahoma City. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecasted through Wednesday, with hot and windy conditions returning by the weekend. Receipts this week totaled 70 percent over 600 lbs and 45 percent heifers.
