Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 08/20/2014

Receipts: 3804    Last Week: 2835    Year Ago: 3831

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold mostly 2.00 to 4.00 lower on a less overall attractive offering. No trend available for steer and heifer calves due to limited comparable sales. Demand light to moderate. Lower CME Live and Feeder Cattle contracts again this week have buyers continuing to be cautious. Supply this week included 81 percent over 600 lbs and 38 percent heifers.
