OKC West,  El Reno, OK - Close Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 06/10/2015


   

Receipts: 9917    Last Week: 5894    Year Ago: 7210

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 7.00 to 12.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded 5.00 to 8.00 higher. No trend available again for steer and heifer calves due to light offerings from last week but a higher undertone was noted. A heavy supply of feeder cattle were on hand today as producers were finally able to reach cattle affected by the heavy rains. Demand was good to very for all classes. Quality was mostly average to attractive. Receipts this week totaled 86 percent over 600 lbs and 34 percent heifers.

   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: lot 340 lbs 400.00; 390 lbs 352.50; load 425 lbs 318.00; 515-600 lbs 268.00-278.00; 600-700 lbs 236.50-257.00; Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 250.00-265.00; 700-800 lbs 226.50-247.75; 800-900 lbs 215.00-226.50; 900-950 lbs 202.00-211.50, thin fleshed 216.80; 1050-1100 lbs 192.00-193.00; 1175 lbs 182.00.
   
Medium and Large 1-2: few 350 lbs 345.00; 445-500 lbs 285.00-301.00, thin fleshed 310.00; 515-600 lbs 249.00-267.50; 600-700 lbs 242.00-262.00, thin fleshed 265.50; 700-750 lbs 226.00-249.00; 750-800 lbs 208.00-232.00; 800-900 lbs 202.75-209.00; 900-950 lbs 199.25-205.00; lot 1085 lbs 186.50.
