Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 01/20/2016

Receipts: 6,228   Last Week: 8,109    Year Ago: 8,782

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 5.00-10.00 lower, instance up to 15.00 lower. Least decline on heavier weight cattle. Steer and heifer calves 10.00-20.00 lower. Demand moderate at lower levels. Receipts included several attractive cattle off wheat pasture. Cattle futures sharply lower Wednesday, following a positive move on Tuesday. Supply consisted of 73 percent over 600 lbs; 30 percent heifers.
