March 6th- When Everything Burned- Michael Kelsey Talks Wildfires in Northwest Oklahoma and the Response Since the Grass Burned

Thu, 16 Mar 2017 14:50:48 CDT

The Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association sat down with Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays and walked Ron through the process facing the OCA and the Oklahoma cattle industry in dealing with the outbreak of wildfires on March 6th and how cattle producers have battled the tragic days that followed- dealing with thousands of cattle dying or needing to be put out of their misery, the loss of forage and feed, miles and miles of fence and more.

Hays and Kelsey also walked thru the enormous response of those outside of the affected area- providing hay, feed, waterers, fence materials and cash.

Click on the LISTEN BAR below to hear their full conversation of the past ten days that changed ranch life for dozens and dozens of ranches and the families that depend upon them.
