From the Western Leg of the ProFarmer Crop Tour- Chip Flory Talks Day One Results
Tue, 18 Aug 2015 04:52:09 CDTDay one of the Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour is in the books- and one tweet offered by Uncle Hedge pretty well sums up the east and west legs and what was seen on the first day- he tweets "After day one and thousands of miles of yield checks- we have found out Ohio has a poor crop and South Dakota is pretty good. OK..." He was making reference specifically to what was seen in the corn fields that were checked by the scouts in Ohio and eastern Indiana- and then in South Dakota and dipping down into Nebraska.
Day one found the ProFarmer tour predicting an Ohio corn crop at 148.37 bushels per acre and the South Dakota corn crop at 165.94 bushels per acre.
After the tour meeting for the western leg, farm broadcaster Jesse Harding with the Rural Radio Network in Nebraska talked with Western Leg Tour Leader Chip Flory. You can hear her comments by clicking on the LISTEN BAR below.
